Greenhouse Sports has secured funding from the LTA Tennis Foundation. The initiative aims to introduce tennis coaching and mentoring activities to thousands of young people from deprived communities. The funding is part of a £1.5m grant from the LTA Tennis Foundation to support various tennis projects that aid disabled people, ex-offenders, lower socio-economic groups, and families living in temporary accommodation. Greenhouse Sports intends to enhance its existing tennis coaching and mentoring programmes by working with schools and expanding to other key regional locations outside London, including Portsmouth and Leicester.
Béatrice Butsana-Sita, CEO of Greenhouse Sports, stated, “The LTA and its charities have been a transformative partner for our charity for over a decade, backing our coaching and mentoring work to bring tennis to communities that are otherwise the least likely to experience this great game. We are pleased that this new funding from the LTA Tennis Foundation supports the expansion of Greenhouse’s coaching into primary schools, so we can work with younger age groups and now provide Greenhouse support through a child’s entire school career.”
We thank the LTA Tennis Foundation for its support in empowering more young people and creating a positive impact in the community.
